Shortly after starting our journey at Origen Oliva, we made a trip to Tudela, Navarra, to visit the oil mill
We were soon able to see the modern facilities and the care with which all the workers carried out their work. Starting with Alfredo Barral, who founded the company with an unbridled passion. David Solana, the commercial director, organised a private tasting for us, and then we were able to see that Alhema de Queiles is precisely the product of a job well done.

A noble Arbequina oil with a perfect touch of Arroniz, balanced, calm, with an intense aroma, great personality, full-bodied, and also organic. The freshness of the olive and green banana with almond nuances stands out. A very pleasant and silky palate. Sweet with fragile spicy and bitter notes. Complex and balanced.

Creator of Abbae de Queiles and Founder of Hacienda Queiles tells us what his own oil conveys to him:

For me, Abbae de Queiles and Alhema de Queiles are a reflection of our passion for olive trees and our obsession with the search for excellence. Alhema de Queiles has its roots in the land where it was born, in the heart of the Queiles Valley, on an estate that belonged to the Abbey of Tulebras 900 years ago. The location is unique, as three Cistercian monasteries (12th-13th centuries) were established in just 25 km, a fact that demonstrates the historical suitability of the area for agriculture. Made from Arbequina and Arroniz olives, grown on the estate itself and produced with exquisite care in the oil mill located in the middle of it, Alhema de Queiles is an exquisite, complex and balanced oil, pleasant, with body, presence, and fragrant. Ideal for drinking raw and accompanying salads and vegetables from the Ribera Navarra, cheeses or baked fish.
