Shortly after starting our journey at Origen Oliva, we took a trip to Tudela, Navarra, to visit the mill.
We immediately saw its modern facilities and the care with which all the staff carried out their work. Starting with Alfredo Barral, who founded the company with boundless passion. David Solana, the commercial director, organized a private tasting, and we could then see that Alhema de Queiles is truly the result of a job well done.

A noble oil of Arbequina variety with a perfect touch of Arroniz, balanced, gentle, with an intense aroma, full-bodied, and organic. Notable for the freshness of the olive and green banana with almond notes. Very pleasant and silky on the palate. Sweet with delicate bitter and spicy notes. Complex and well-balanced.

Creator of Abbae de Queiles and Founder of Hacienda Queiles, shares what his own oil conveys to him:

Abbae de Queiles and Alhema de Queiles are, for me, the reflection of our passion for the olive tree and our obsession with the pursuit of excellence. Alhema de Queiles roots itself in the land where it is born, in the heart of the Queiles Valley, on an estate that belonged to the Tulebras Abbey 900 years ago. The location is unique, as within just 25 km, 3 Cistercian Monasteries (12th century) were established, demonstrating the historical suitability of the area for agriculture. Using Arbequina and Arroniz olives, cultivated on the estate and carefully processed in the on-site mill, Alhema de Queiles presents itself as an exquisite, complex, and balanced oil, gentle, full-bodied, aromatic, and fragrant. Ideal for raw consumption, to accompany salads and vegetables from Ribera Navarra, cheeses, or baked fish.
