The Origin
Like every good olive oil, Origen Oliva also comes from fertile soil: family passion. It all began in Barcelona, in the kitchen of the Central del Borne de Comidas, where the Ribas family cooked with oils they produced themselves in El Bedorc and Jaén. That tradition was not just a business—it was a way of understanding life.
In 1969, Josep Ribas opened a small winery with a clear mission: to share the best wines and oils of the country. There, among aromas and flavors, he instilled in his children a passion for olive oil that would shape their destiny.
The Origen Oliva Project
That seed bore fruit in 2013, when Pep Ribas, driven by his love for quality olive oil, founded Origen Oliva. For years he visited mills, met producers, and trained with the best to create a unique online store: specialized, honest, and deeply in love with extra virgin olive oil.
A New Stage
In 2021, ADJ Online took the baton of this beautiful project, with the goal of keeping its spirit alive and helping it grow. We share the same passion for extra virgin olive oil, and since then we have worked diligently to expand the selection, improve the shopping experience, and continue bringing the finest Spanish oils to every home.
Today, at Origen Oliva, tradition and renewal go hand in hand. We deeply respect the history that precedes us, and we look to the future with energy, committed to excellence and a love for a product that is much more than food: it is culture, history, and a piece of the land in every drop.
