100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Arbequina and Picual
It’s no surprise that, in a short time, Torre de Canena has become one of the most preferred olive oil brands among consumers. Both Arbequina and Picual come from olives harvested in November, giving them an intensity, aroma, and flavor that strike the perfect balance so appreciated by olive oil lovers.
“An excellent, balanced oil, meticulously crafted from its origin.”
The Arbequina is smooth on the palate, sweet, light, and fluid, with notes of green almond, ripe banana, and red apple.
The Picual stands out as a balanced and persistent oil on the palate, with notes of fresh grass and artichoke. It is a perfect example of the fresh and fragrant personality of the Picual variety.
An exceptionally well-crafted EVOO from its very origin — the olive groves of the Alto Guadalquivir valley, surrounded by the unparalleled natural setting of Sierra Mágina, Sierra Cazorla, and the Cazorla Natural Park.

Paco Vañó, Co-owner of Torre de Canena:
To produce Torre de Canena EVOOs, the best plots of the estate are carefully selected. After continuous monitoring of the vegetative and phenological state of the olive trees, pruning systems, nutrition, and proper irrigation are supervised, and biological control is used against pests that could harm them. From flowering in May, the fruit set and proper growth of the small olives are inspected, measuring calibers and analyzing fruit loads in each olive grove plot to maintain balanced harvests. Harvesting takes place in November, when the veraison is halfway through, and many fruits still show greenish, yellowish, and purplish hues. After months of monitoring the olives in the field, they are harvested using mechanical methods and transported within a few hours to the mill in small boxes and refrigerated trucks. At the mill, they are crushed using the most advanced technology and following strict quality protocols to produce EVOOs with fresh notes yet hints of riper fruits — smooth, velvety, round, balanced juices, slightly peppery and with a very discreet bitterness level. The name Torre de Canena comes from the family castle located on a hill in the town of Canena (Jaén). The olive groves are located in the Alto Guadalquivir valley, between the mountain ranges of Cazorla and Mágina. Torre de Canena is a family business with a long tradition in the production of extra virgin olive oil.
