Origen: Canena - Jaén
With an olive-growing history that dates back to 1780, the company takes its name from the family castle that stands on the hill of the municipality of Canena, in the province of Jaén (Andalusia). Located in the fertile surroundings of the Guadalquivir Valley, the Canena family castle gives its name to our extra virgin olive oils. Close to Úbeda and Baeza, UNESCO World Heritage cities and outstanding examples of Andalusian cultural essence.
The company has a meticulous respect for the environment, which is reflected primarily through photovoltaic energy plants, a green cover across the estate that reduces soil erosion and preserves native herbaceous vegetation, and the use of pruning residues as biomass for clean, non-polluting fuel. Today, its extra virgin olive oils are present in over 40 countries, where they have been recognized with top international awards.
