Villargordo, a town belonging to the municipality of Campillo de Arenas until the mid-20th century and now part of the municipality of Villatorres, is an area with a long olive-growing tradition in the province of Jaén. Located between the countryside and the first foothills of the Sierra Mágina, its landscape is marked by a vast sea of olive groves that defines its surroundings and way of life.
The area has approximately 4,500 hectares of olive groves , cultivated primarily with the Picual variety, which produces extra virgin olive oils of great intensity, body, and excellent stability. Early harvesting, combined with the use of modern milling techniques, ensures a high-quality EVOO with a highly valued sensory profile.
