Aceites Padilla is a family-owned olive mill founded in 1999. The Padilla family maintains all the machinery and carefully oversees the work in the fields.
The Padilla Family Olive Grove
All production from Aceites Padilla comes from their own olive groves of the Picual variety, certified in organic production under European regulations. They are located in the municipality of Bailén, in the province of Jaén, the world capital of Olive Oil.
This millenary olive-growing region, on the slopes of Sierra Morena between the Rumblar and Guadiel rivers, provides the land with high organoleptic value, reflected in the quality of the EVOOs.
By cultivating Picual in different areas of Bailén, the harvest is heterogeneous, and its oils show very unique physico-chemical and sensory characteristics.
The Picual Variety
The main variety used is Picual, predominant in Jaén. It has high levels of antioxidants, a firm texture, and intense flavors.
Padilla Organic EVOO
All Padilla Extra Virgin Olive Oil is organic: free of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, fertilized only with compost, pruning residues, manure, and pomace, certified under European agricultural regulations.
The organic olive grove ensures sustainable practices: preservation of ground cover, efficient drip irrigation, and reuse of washing water.
