Jaén Selection 2020

Since 2006, the distinction Jaén Selección has been awarded each year to the best Extra Virgin Olive Oils of each season. Let's get to know the winners of the 2020 edition.

The award was established by the Provincial Council of Jaén to support the olive sector, stimulate the production of highest-quality oils, promote EVOO culture in the province, its marketing and consumption, and recognize the work of producers. Since then, more than 30 brands have received this seal, with over 600 oils presented in all editions.

Every year, eight oils are selected to participate in promotional events such as Fitur, Alimentaria, Salón del Gourmet, or Madrid Fusión. They are also featured in the International EVOO Cooking Award "Jaén, Inner Paradise", where chefs compete with these oils before a prestigious jury.

This contest is the highest-funded at the Salón de Gourmet and has featured chefs like Massimo Bottura, Jordi Cruz, and Xanty Elías.

In addition to the main events, additional activities are organized with bloggers and influencers to expand markets and improve EVOO commercialization.
